Community Wildfire Update – Tuesday, June 24 (Evening)
The Evacuation Alert for the Town of Lynn Lake remains in effect. Please continue to be prepared to leave on short notice, as a mandatory evacuation may be called at any time, depending on fire behavior and changing weather and wind conditions.
We are actively monitoring the situation in consultation with Manitoba Wildfire Services. Based on their guidance, an evacuation could be triggered tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday. All residents should ensure they have a go-bag packed and ready, including essential items such as identification, medication, important documents, water, and basic supplies.
To support a smooth evacuation process:
Pre-registration should be completed in advance. This helps us coordinate transportation, lodging, and support services.

Buses are being arranged for residents who require assistance evacuating. If you do not have access to a vehicle or need help, please stay tuned for further instructions.
If you have pets, please also make arrangements in advance:
Include pet food, water, leashes, carriers, and any necessary medications in your go-bag.
Pets must be under your care and control during evacuation—you will be responsible for their transport and temporary care.
Please expect the next official update by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, which will be posted to the Town of Lynn Lake’s official Facebook page:

We will continue to keep you informed as more information becomes available. Thank you for your continued preparedness and cooperation. Your safety remains our top priority.
