Role Overview:

The Environmental Technician is responsible for collecting in situ and compliance monitoring data, processing a variety of air,
water, and soil samples, and supporting environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial
regulations, Alamos Gold Inc’s corporate conditions, and Indigenous Nation agreements. You will be based in Lynn Lake,
Manitoba, and will work a 15/13 rotation schedule. Travel from your home to the site, and room and board will be provided at
the Company’s expense.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process air, water, soil etc. samples for compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed field and sample notes.
  • Ship collected samples to offsite analytical laboratories, ensuring proper packaging, temperature control, and time
  • restraints.
  • Collect data from and program various data loggers.
  • Operate, maintain, repair, and calibrate field monitoring and sample collection equipment (e.g. pumps, controllers,
  • multimeters, GPS, generators).
  • Follow quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment, including pumps.
  • Carry out environmental data entry, review, and management.
  • Perform field investigations and inspections to ensure the project adheres to environmental best practices and
  • compliance requirements.
  • Assist in analyzing field and analytical data to draft technical reports and communications.
  • Respond to environmental incidents, including spill response.
  • Inspect, maintain and operate field vehicles according to user manuals and company procedures, including ATVs,
  • snowmobiles, and boats.
  • Support information gathering for regulatory reports and contribute to reclamation and closure processes.
  • Assist subcontractors with additional field environmental programs as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies or Technical Environmental Diploma preferred.
  • 2-5 years of environmental and mining-related experience.
  • Experience in environmental compliance monitoring in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and industry practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
  • Experience with digital field data entry systems.
  • Proficiency in navigational skills using maps, compasses, and GPS.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment, including the ability to travel and work in remote locations
  • and all-weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, the environment, and community.
